Pakistan Telecommunications Power today instructed all cell phone providers to take out lately enforced contact installation expenses, we have verified it formally.
Pakistan Telecommunications Power (PTA), in an instruction sent to all Cellular Cellular Owner (CMOs), requested them to instantly quit asking for a contact set-up fee lately enforced by them.
PTA has released these guidelines in the light of supply of Telecommunications Re organization Act and Consumer Protection Rules 2009. PTA accordingly instructed all CMOs to apply the order without causing any pain to the cell phone numbers.
It may be remembered that mobile providers had enforced call-setup expenses of Rs. 0.10+ tax on each contact last week and published notice on their website about imposition of new expenses.
PTA’s step is aimed at protecting clients' interests. PTA has requested the providers to instantly cut these expenses and provide a conformity report to it.
